Post finalization and validation of all specification documentation, process configuration is initiated to support the new process workflows.
As part of this task, following activities need to be performed:
-
Migration kick off – The Technology And Infrastructure stream must initiate discussions to agree on the approach to be adopted for the migrated and updated tools configuration to the end users. Client stakeholder involvement is necessary for this to agree upon the migration strategy and schedule
-
Tools integration kick off – The Technology And Infrastructure team should also initiate discussions with other related tools team to agree upon the integration approach
-
Initiate process and data mapping – Along with Client processes and technical experts, Capgemini Tools Subject Matter Expert and Service Delivery Processes Lead agree upon the data mapping that needs to be performed to aid the implementations
-
Identify and plug the gaps, if any – As part of the configuration, if any gaps are identified which were not captured earlier, are discussed and feasible solutions are implemented
-
Update the deployment plan – Based on details captured and agreements made as part of the configuration activity, deployment plans are amended and concurrence taken from both Capgemini and Client stakeholders
-
Perform testing and fine tune tools and processes – Once the processes are configured, testing is performed to validate the process flows and underlying requirements as documented in the functional specifications. It is a good practice to involve testers from Client organization to help validate the tools configurations to gain their concurrence. Based on the test result required adjustments or corrections are made to the configuration and corresponding processes if needed.
Once all the processes are configured in the tools and all test defects resolved a pilot implementation is planned along with the schedule for training sessions and the migration plan for rolling out the processes and tools.
